Immediate Hire: Structural Project Manager

Working Location: Onoway, Alberta

Compensation: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour

Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6am – 4:30 pm (overtime eligible)

What You’ll Be Doing: As the Structural Project Manager, you will be a critical member of the project team, responsible for the accurate and timely completion of various administrative tasks to support the needs of the project teams, vendors, and subcontractors. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Review promising bids with the estimating team, develop a baseline schedule with the Manager of Projects, and prepare for and attend client progress meetings.
  • Team Coordination: Delegate project-specific tasks, ensure timely drafting and drawing release procedures, and communicate project schedules and priorities to all departments.
  • Client and Vendor Management: Work with clients to develop fabrication prioritization, manage subcontractors to ensure timely completion of deliverables, and review project-specific technical documentation before submission.
  • Administrative Oversight: Compile information for kickoff meetings, facilitate drawing reviews, manage project material budgets, and develop effective change orders for submission to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Post-secondary training is preferred.
  • Certifications: CET and PMP considered assets
  • Experience: 2+ years’ experience in a project or equivalent role, preferably in a fast-paced environment with changing needs.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office applications, working knowledge of Bluebeam is an asset, CSTS-2020 and WHIMIS certifications are required.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, outstanding organizational and time management skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
